Best Eleuthera Restaurants & Bars

Travel Guide To Eleuthera: Top Restaurants and Bars in Eleuthera

Eleuthera’s beaches are world-class and the island vibes are so chill that you won’t ever want to leave. The Eleuthera restaurants, hotels and bars are low-key and inviting, but are considered more expensive despite being in a developing country. Being on an island, access to products, produces and meats are much tougher which causes the influx in prices. I suggest storing some groceries in your accommodation but enjoying a few meals out as all of these Eleuthera Restaurants listed have it’s own unique charm and are waterfront. Here’s a rundown of the top restaurants and bars in Eleuthera, in The Bahamas.

It’s crucial to note when discussing things to eat in Eleuthera, that every Friday night, Fish Frys are the most popular pastime. It’s an incredibly popular, weekly occurrence throughout all of The Bahamas Islands. Be sure to check which restaurants are serving so that you can partake! Or if you’re lucky, you’ll be invited into someone’s home! Locals and Restaurants fry up the fresh catch of the week in various ways: BBQ’d, battered and fried. Fish Frys bring families, communities and tourists together. And almost always, it turns into a party (yes, the Bahamians love a good time!). Music playing, lots of alcohol consumption, friends and families gather to dance the night away.

Have A Taste of Conch

Conch Salads are one of the most popular things to eat in Eleuthera and throughout the Bahamas. It’s super refreshing and healthy too! Find them off the side of the road sold by locals and also at most Eleuthera restaurants.

Conch (pronounced as ‘conk’) is the national food of the Bahamas. This clam-like creature is native to the Atlantic Ocean. You can try conch in different forms such as salads, conch ceviche, and conch fritters in restaurants and small stands on the island.
