As we approach another new year, I reflect on my gratitude. To my support system and network around the world, a sincere THANK YOU. This travel blog was created on my first solo trip to India in 2008 initially for friends and families to follow my day-to-day wanderlust adventures. Back then, the Travel Blogging community was tiny. I will be going on my 4th trip to India in March as I feel it as a second home.
As the years went on, Bohemian Vagabond Blog, Youtube Channel, Instagram & my Brand has grown tremendously because of all your support and viewership. There is no better way to show my gratitude except to continue writing on my Travel Adventures in hopes that it will continue to inspire you. In 2018, expect even more Travel Tips, Photos, Videos and Stories/Insight into this beautiful, exotic world we live in. Traveling off the beaten path, immersing into the culture and living the way the locals do has always been my focus.
Empty Hands Music by Nimo Patel
I’d like to share with you this heartwarming Music Video called “Grateful”. Created and sang by my friend Nimo Patel, a selfless Philanthropist who currently resides in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This song really resonated with me as I watched it just before the New Year.
Nimo graduated from an Ivy League University and worked on Wall Street in his 20’s. He decided to quit his job over 10 years ago for something more fulfilling. “Empty Hands Music“, a 501c3, was then created to spread goodness in the world through Selfless Service, Music and Love.
He continues to live by this mantra and purpose by:
- Performing on World Tours for free around the world in public schools
- Teaches music and dance to street children in the slum areas of Gujarat
- Performs at Seva Cafe in Ahmedabad
- Hosts Meditation Courses weekly
“Musicians Nimo Patel and Daniel Nahmod brought together dozens of people from around the world to create this beautiful, heart-opening melody. Inspired by the 21-Day Gratitude Challenge, the song is a celebration of our spirit and all that is a blessing in life. For the 21 Days, over 11,000 participants from 118 countries learned that “gratefulness” is a habit cultivated consciously and a muscle built over time. As a famous Roman, Cicero, once said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” This soul-stirring music video, created within a week by a team of volunteers, shines the light on all the small things that make up the beautiful fabric of our lives.”

Team Seva Volunteer Trip
I met Nimo and many other selfless Philanthropists through a 2-week Volunteer Trip exactly one year ago with Team Seva. We volunteered at Manav Sadhna out of Gandhi’s Ashram. Nimo’s message is clear, based off his most popular song “Planting Seeds”. We may not be able to bring World Peace or solve World Hunger in our lifetime. But we should continue to plant seeds for the future and for the children.
Ready to set your intentions for this New Year? What positivity will you bring to nourish your own soul and your own life? How will you serve those in need? I believe we all have greater purposes outside of ourselves. I have yet to meet 1 person in my life who only serves their self and is truly happy.
The Empty Hands album, is a gift offering to the world. Download the full 10-track labor of love piece of art and let the songs and messages of love embrace your heart, mind and soul.
Follow his website for scheduled Music Tour Performances as well as to donate to this lovely cause. Bringing World Peace through Music by Planting Seeds and Spreading Love.
Happy New Year. I am Grateful for all of you!
