This all-inclusive hotel is the ideal place to stay for a few days of pure relaxation in the safely protected and lively Playacar Community. 6 Different Restaurants to Meet All Your Cravings
I am often weary of staying at all-inclusive resorts for a few reasons. The main being that I’m scared of mediocre to plain bad food and the lack of quality ingredients often offered. I was delightfully surprised that all the meals I had at Hotel Riu Palace was fresh and delicious. Especially my first meal at their fancier steakhouse where I had a fresh Ceviche Trio and juicy Steak! There are 6 Restaurants to choose from:
- Don Julian Restaurant (Buffet)
- As with any resort, there is a large selection of food to choose from the Buffet which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner
- “Krystal” Fusion restaurant
- “Miyagi” Japanese restaurant (open after 5pm)
- Italian restaurant
- “La Bodega” Mexican restaurant (buffet starters and dessert)
- Fancy Open-Air Steakhouse located by the pool overlooking the Sea
Dancing & Festivities in Playacar & Playa del Carmen
Once your party mood gets started, there’s no shortage of activities and shows on the Hotel Riu Palace Entertainment Calendar. Throughout the day and especially in the evenings are live musical performances with both indoor and outdoor seating. Feel like dancing but don’t want to go all the way to downtown, Playa del Carmen? Head over to Pacha Discotheque at Riu Tequila (within walking distance in the same community). As a Riu Hotel guest, you get free entry with your wristband. This is the spot for late night dancing to the hottest hits!
I visited during the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) Holiday in late October/early November so the hotel was especially festive!
